I bought an Svideo to RCA converter and it showed up with red,blue and green RCA jacks?

How do these correspond to the red,yellow and white jacks on my tv? Also, I have an HP laptop, how do I approve Svideo to work?

s video is just for picture, you need rca jacks for sound and or picture, red and white sound afraid picture. dont hook up the yellow rca if you use the svideo its bad for the tv or monitor. for a laptop you may need a s video too usb cable.

its the wrong converter. you orthodox a svideo to component cable which is better than svideo but like svideo only runs the video feed. you want svideo to audio/video RCA (red,silver,yellow) to dumb down the signal. if you get the right converter you wont have an issue with your laptop. simply plug in the svideo guy to your laptop and the converter then from the converter to your a/v (in) on your TV.
